Knowledge matters. From understanding the history of adornment across cultures regions and religions, to understanding the urgency to use recycled materials to protect our environment, we foster a community where artists can talk about the cultural, historical and practical role of the metal arts in our society.

The future is exciting. CNC machines and 3D printers already offer incredible accuracy. We will bring this technology to the bench, providing affordable group access to state-of-the-art equipment. We are committed to fostering research into new processes and techniques that will have a transformative effect on the creation of jewellery and metal arts.

Within the Atelier Artéfact not for profit organization, our Montreal Academy of Metal Arts studio provides a stimulating atmosphere for both students and professional artists. Offering a range of comprehensive classes and workshop sessions, the academy specializes in jewellery making and various other metal arts disciplines.
With experienced instructors guiding you every step of the way, you will learn the art of metalwork, from shaping and soldering to stone setting and finishing techniques. Our state-of-the-art facilities are equipped with all the tools and resources you need to bring your artistic vision to life.

Bench rental package - Rent 42 hours every 2 months for $147.00 ( $3.50 an hour )
Our prerequisite: 3 modules or the equivalent 96 hours of training
Bench time to be booked at least 6 hours in advance
